Ingredients

  • 400 g chickpeas (canned)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp tumeric
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch dried ginger
  • 1 pinch dried oregano

Directions

  1. Using a 400g can of chickpeas, wash, rinse and drain thoroughly. Let dry on a paper towel for an hour.

  2. Preheat oven to 200°c (390°f)

  3. Toss chickpeas in 2 Tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon turmeric, pinch of salt, ginger and oregano.

  4. Place coated chickpeas on a baking tray, lined with baking paper and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the chickpeas turn golden-brown.

  5. Remove from oven and set aside to cool. During cooling, the chickpeas will turn crispy. Serve as snack, or as topping in soups or salads.
